Vertiv Utility Building Expansion

A Building Expansion located in Corry, PA.

This project is active.

Showman Excavating is executing the civil site work and utility infrastructure modifications for the Utility Building Expansion project. The initial completed phase required removing legacy site utilities, including existing downspout lines and the demolition of existing 15-inch HDPE and SDR-35 piping within the proposed expansion footprint. Our crews performed initial site grading and earthwork operations, exporting excess site spoils, applying unscreened topsoil, and installing new 2'x2' precast catch basins alongside 15-inch HDPE storm sewer runs to upgrade the facility's drainage capacity.

To ensure environmental compliance throughout construction, our team established robust erosion and sediment controls, including rock construction entrances, compost filter socks, and inlet protection filter bags.

With the primary storm sewer main lines and earthwork complete, our scope continues into the next phase of site development and perimeter stabilization. Our team will install 6-inch PVC roof downspout lines to tie building runoff directly into the storm drainage system. Additionally, Showman Excavating will build a Keystone retaining wall system directly behind the expanded utility building. This engineered retaining wall will manage elevation changes, stabilize the surrounding subgrade, and establish a clear site boundary for the new building footprint.
