Headwaters Park Development

Recreational Addition to Headwaters Park in Erie, PA.

Showman Excavating successfully completed site preparation and recreational improvements for the Headwaters Park Development located near the Erie County Conservation District. The project began with full land clearing operations, including the removal of trees, brush, and organic debris to establish a clean, build-ready site while maintaining environmental sensitivity.

Following clearing activities, our team performed grading and subgrade preparation to support the installation of a TSA recreational trail designed for long-term durability and public use. Additional site enhancements included the construction of safe, code-compliant access stairs to improve pedestrian connectivity throughout the park area.

To enhance both function and appearance, Showman Excavating installed xeriscape rock features that provide low-maintenance, erosion-resistant landscape elements. The project also included placement and site preparation for a covered picnic table pavilion, creating a welcoming gathering space for park visitors.

Drainage was addressed through the installation of a dry bed drainage system engineered to manage stormwater runoff effectively and protect the trail and surrounding improvements from erosion.

Through careful coordination and quality workmanship, Showman Excavating delivered a clean, accessible, and environmentally responsible park expansion that supports recreation and long-term site stability.
