Lift Station and Sewer Manhole Installation.

Gartner & Harf Lift Station/Fairfield Ave. Manhole

Lift Station and Sewer Manhole Installation.

This project is active.

Showman Excavating is managing the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the wastewater pump station for the Summit Township Sewer Authority. This comprehensive project includes the installation of owner-supplied equipment, specifically two submersible pumps, base elbows, and associated accessories. Our team is responsible for furnishing and installing critical infrastructure components, such as drop-in wet well and valve pit hatches, as well as a magnetic flow meter and transmitter housed within a meter manhole featuring a composite watertight lid.

The mechanical scope involves furnishing and installing all necessary sewer piping, valves, and fittings, including specialized equipment like stilling wells, pressure transducers with S.S. brackets, and a backup float system. We are also establishing the bypass pumping piping and making the final connection to the existing force main.

On the electrical side, furnishing and installing new control panels, lighting, conduits, and electrical services, all housed within a new enclosure set on a custom concrete pad is to be accomplished. Site improvements for this project include the installation of a new chain-link fence and significant roadway work, such as milling existing asphalt and placing a new wearing course to extend the parking area.

In addition to the lift station, we are installing a new sanitary sewer manhole and piping along Fairfield Avenue. The project concludes with full site restoration, which involves excavation and disposal of unsuitable fill, importing and compacting clean fill material, and final stabilization through grading, topsoil placement, seeding, and mulching.
