Penelec Transmission Building

Showman Excavating is performing full-service site development for the Penelec Transmission Building project, delivering a complete range of excavation and infrastructure services from the ground up. The project began with extensive site clearing and earthwork, followed by precision grading to construct a stable, properly engineered building pad capable of supporting long-term facility operations.

Our scope also includes the installation of critical underground utilities, including domestic water lines, sanitary sewer systems, and a comprehensive stormwater management network. As part of the stormwater solution, Showman Excavating constructed two water quality basins and two detention basins, designed to control runoff, protect downstream resources, and meet all applicable environmental and regulatory standards.

To ensure safe and efficient site access, our team prepared the roadway and parking lot subgrades in advance of paving, coordinating closely with other trades to keep the project moving efficiently. This ongoing project highlights Showman Excavating’s ability to deliver coordinated, end-to-end site development services on complex utility and infrastructure projects.
