About Us________________________

In 1959, Ray Showman, Sr. started a company named, Raymond D. Showman & Sons, Inc. Larry Showman, Ray Sr.'s second-born son, took over the company in 1997 which is still in operation today. Ray Showman, Jr. worked for his dad until 1984, when he and his wife, Martha, bought their first dozer, a 750 John Deere, and started their own company, Ray Showman Jr. Excavating, which they incorporated in December of 1996.

Since 1984, Ray Showman Jr. Excavating, Inc. has earned the reputation as one of the
leaders in the site construction field. Our clients have trusted us for complete
gas and oil well construction, to lay the ground work for their subdivisions,
golf courses, office parks, shopping centers, and industrial parks, as well
as sitework in the private-sector.

Our skilled machine operators, qualified site foremen, and experienced
project managers make every job run safely and efficiently.

We currently employ between ten to fifteen skilled heavy equipment
operators, including 40-hour OSHA-trained laborers and operators for
hazardous material remediation. Our laborers and operators have also
completed the 30-hour Construction Industry Training.

A signed agreement with the Laborer's International Union of North America
provides us with a ready source of skilled laborers when the need arises.
